Reddit Ads
Tips and tricks for running a successful paid marketing campaign on Reddit.
Target the right subreddits
Sounds obvious but it's regularly overlooked. Reddit lets you target specific subs with paid ads, which means you can put your product in front of exactly the right people rather than blasting it broadly and hoping for the best.
Start narrow. Pick the subs where your ideal customers actually spend time, run there first, and only expand once you know the campaign is working. This is another reason to spend time on the platform before launching anything — you'll know where your people are.
Set your country targeting
Reddit ads default to global. If you're a local business or only serve certain markets, switch this immediately — you will otherwise serve ads to people who can never be your customer. Easy mistake to make and an expensive one if you don't catch it early. You know your product best and under which locales and languages it will do best under. And there certainly can't be that many products in the world which would sell in every country on the planet.

Get started freeAd title length — take this with a pinch of salt
Reddit recommends shorter titles, both in their documentation and in their automated ad analysis. In practice, the difference in clickthrough rate and conversions was negligible when I did my campaigns. Make your title as long or as short as it needs to be to say what you're saying.
